sry dude....they are peat plugs in coco/perlite mix, then in the cardboard pots......

Dude! I'm doing the same thing right now, awesome . Mine still haven't germed yet but same principle - coco/peat plug in some soil in a cardboard pot .
I was also scared that they would have a tough time protruding roots through the cardboard so I punched a bunch of holes in the pot with a needle .

nice dude......tag me in if you journal it......im going to transplant on Wednesday i think.....im between just cutting the slots (like 912greenskell suggests)or removing the whole outer card pot, apart from the bottom because the roots are thru???....dont know

I'll start some new grow journals soon, the seeds still haven't popped . Concerning the pot, I don't know dude, the manufacturer says the roots should protrude and that the pot is biodegradable, so we shall see. I hope the holes will be enough to help them a bit.

BCN Update 10/4/18

Hello brothers and sisters,
ok so i did it and it went smoothly....these are the add's I used

I measured out enough coco for the pot added some perlite and rinsed it with the shower for about 10mins....then i mixed up about 4liters of Root66, MEGACROP and calmag......used citric acid crystals to lower the ph to 6 and poured it thru the medium. dug a hole and used an empty pot for size.

then i dusted the hole with "Reggae Roots!" ....a root zone innoculant!

fearing the whole thing falling apart on me........ just pinched holes out around the sides and btm......and dusted them and any visible roots.

then it was simply put in the hole......I cut slits around the top and buried them in coco.....

and she is now sitting happy in the guest room.....thanks for looking in

looking good from here i was thinking the cardboard pots may need months to breakdown,but they look to be falling apart which is a good thing.
