Yes I would do it as soon as your budget allows but I really think a timer is under 5 bucks on hamazon or fleabay. And I would never run it all the time. I always went 45/15 off/on it just makes it easier with one of the push tab timers lol.

Yep especially with hydro. You are trying to max out the growth variables by pumping oxygen into water so basically all they want to do is grow. There are lots of reasons why I run them 24/0 but mainly it’s for the yield. If you think about it an extra 4 hours of light per day is about a whole extra day of light per week to photosynthesize with over the course of a grow that is over a week of light that the plant can use to photosynthesize with. Ruderalis that autoflowers does so in nature because it doesn’t get the benefit of gradual seasons. They basically get 24 hours of light for 2/3 months. Lol I could go on and on. But yeah I would run em 24/0 if you can.
