The genetics gave me a lot of confidence in my first indoor grow.
They were a delight to grow - just what you need as a virgin.

This time, even with some obvious pH issues which I'm hopefully getting on top of, they're still doing their thing and pushing on, regardless of my fuck ups.

Would LOVE to see what they can achieve when fully optimised in a totally dialled in setup.

UPDATE - DAY 27:

Temperatures: ... Ambient Room 26 ℃ [+/- 2 ℃]
Humidity RH%: ... 45 [+/- 5%]
Lighting: ... 4 x 600w HPS
Schedule: ... 20/4

Nutrients:
Sensi Grow A + B @ 1.0 ml/l
Sensi Bloom A + B @ 1.0 ml/l
Rhino Skin @ 1.0 ml/l
Sensizym @ 1.0 ml/l
Bud Candy @ 1.0 ml/l
B-52 @ 1.0 ml/l
pH of Feed: ... 6.3
EC of Feed: ... 1.7
Feeding: ... ~ 1.5L

I'm knackered.

Big overhaul on Campus.
  • All ladies now transplanted into bigger pots, with fresh soil.
  • 4 x 600W HPS now activated
  • Lighting switched to 20/4 schedule

Gave the girls another feeding today, but a light one in terms of EC, thanks to the introduction of the General Hydroponics Flora range. I've read good things about them, they seem ridiculously economical, and it just gives the girls a bit of variety.

The combination of new soil [BioBizz Lightmix] and raised temperatures means things dried out pretty quickly.
Humidity has also fallen, which isn't such a bad thing - it's still within range.
I think watering will either have to double in volume, or frequency.
I'd like to maintain the wet/dry cycle, so I'm opting for increased volume at this stage.

As you can see from the photos, the major rejig is complete.
All the ladies are in their new, larger accommodation which will see them through to the end.
Gave a great opportunity to look under the hood while transplanting, and I'm pleased to say the root mass looked excellent and healthy on every one of them. They also looked like they were ready and waiting for some new room to stretch their legs, so I'm quietly confident the larger accommodation is going to please them no end.

Four 600W HPS on now, so the temps have risen. Even though its still technically winter, and with the filter on high and permanently, the temps are still climbing and nudging 30℃. Still within range, but not where I want it to be. Switching to 20/4 lighting schedule should help that a little, giving everyone a chance to cool down and recharge their batteries for the next lights on activity.

It's starting to look like a right proper garden

What made you decide to change from AN nutes to the GH Flora line?

Now, if those babes were in 25 l XL Autopots......

Earlier in the thread, there was a reference to the resilience and quality of the Sweet Seeds genetics.
Pictures speak a thousand words.

Remember this little girl?
This was her on life support on Day 2.

She was the prem baby, for whom their were real fears of her life being short lived.
I think she had been put at risk by the seed being placed a little too shallow, so that when the tap root attempted to go down and do its thing, it actually pushed the seedling-wannabe upwards prematurely.
i.e. tap root pushed seedling up, in contradistinction to exploring down.

Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls ... please welcome to the stage, the Day 28 recipient of Most Improved Student ... our darling prem baby, Sweet Trainwreck Auto #1 ...

The glowing reports on here and elsewhere. [including yours] :pighug:

The cost.
There are a number of Advanced Nutrients that would need to be replenished very shortly.
Cost of AN versus Cost of GH = no brainer.

The opportunity to give a varied diet.

hmmmmm........that there VARIED DIET........is that for you

or the babes........

I hear ya about the AN nutes........in case you weren't aware, the GH Flora Nova line is......pH Stabilized without much fanfare.....
I've tried different combinations with Flora Nova and various additives....... Canna Boost, silica, GH Ripener, enzymes, calmag, root enhancers and what not, and always end up with a pH in the 6.3 - 6.6 range, and thus my pH meter is mostly idly lingering on it's perch.......
