Today I noticed in my calendar that the harvest window for the AK47 x Karel's Haze cross is about to open. Let's have a look at her first why don't we?
Maybe it's because of all the leaves she has, but I did something I rarely do and that is grabbing the buds and squeezing them while bending them to look inside for mold. I didn't find mold, but what I did saw was all firm bud and when I let go the amount of resin sticking to my fingers was just...Wow...

Like I said, the leaves don't do her justice, but you wait and see...When I'm done trimming her...

Oh...The smell coming from my fingers had a very pine/terpentine with a dash of mr. proper smell to it.
Can't wait to try me this one...Fingers crossed it's not to trippy

Next up is the largest lady of the greenhouse and that is our Afghan x NL cross. This is a real blast from the past! Next to the White Widow I'm growing NL is also a cultivar I grew up with and loved to smoke very much. The fact that it is the largest (canna) plant in the greenhouse does flabbergast me as I would have expected her to grow low and wide as a good Indica lady should grow.

Her buds aren't very big yet, but as she's still more then a month away from being done that's just fine. And when I look around at posts from other growers I can see I'm right at schedule and she's also showing the same strange discoloration at the leaf's veins.

And finally we have a plant from which I'm already thinking it will give me the highest yield of this season. Take a look at this Bruce Lemon Diesel...

She is fully expanded and while the tops are still throwing out pistils her days are numbered...Next Tuesday her 'theoretical' harvest window opens up and I can say (as I nibbed a bud on Monday and hung it to dry) that this one is a very hard hitter and tastes amazing. The chemical taste from this weed is strangely attractive and remains in your mouth for a very long time.

As you can see, semi-fresh pistils everywhere, but the calyx's are for the most swollen to their max...

With a nice discoloration on the leaves...Giving the bud a purple hue. Smelling fresh bud is even worse then smoking it...If you're looking for a not to smelly cultivar, this isn't the one for you. If you're looking for a great Diesel tasting cultivar that'll knock your socks off, this is the one for you!
Now I'll have to go to the store to buy myself a couple of extra jars to put all this bud in...Anyone willing to take a guess how many 2L jars I'll need for this big girl?

Hey growers

Like yesterday I picked myself a lady which was almost done and started to remove dried up leaves and everything else that looked nasty. This is what I was left with...A humongus plant with six large cola's filled with expanded calyx's

My hands reeked like I spilled a gallon of Diesel over them after holding those buds to remove the leaves...

Nice color on them leaves...

The lowest bud on the plant...

Really feel like this cultivar will deliver me the highest yield of all, in this outdoor season...

Never actually been a fan of the Diesel line, but this lady is a fine combination of Diesel and Mr. Proper and I must say, I like her very much! She smells nice and even a quick dried tester bud kicked my puny little ass

As you might have read I have aphids inside the greenhouse...arch...
So instead of posting loads of trichome pictures and showing off them ambers this post will be about the harvesting, treating and not treating plants...

Next up we have the AK47 x Karels Haze cross which is on the other side of the greenhouse...I didn't want to harvest her as she doesn't have enough ambers and she's very Sativa like. But I'm going to keep an eye on her as I didn't treat her with pyrethrum. Felt that she was so close to harvest that I rather smoke a dried up aphid instead of the pyrethrum, even though it should be safe...I'd rather be on the safer side

So as I mentioned above I mixed up the pyrethrum according to the spraysheet and made 1L stocksolution which, except for this lady, got sprayed on all other plants and surfaces ending with me exiting the greenhouse.

Ok, so afterwards I went back to the greenhouse and removed all the pots to the outside. I won't be reusing this soil as I read up on it and the soil is probably full with aphid eggs...so not worth the risk. The chickens will have a heyday tomorrow when they discover the rootballs.

And even though I'm kinda bummed out because of the aphids and them forcing me to harvest a couple of days early, I still feel blessed with the results I've had on BioTabs. This grow almost went without a hitch and even then this had nothing to do with the nutrient line, but rather sheer luck that one hitched a ride inside the greenhouse.
The water only approach is something I like very much. It's been very kind to my back as I only had to walk around with a watering wand and during flower with the occasional watering can to add some PK to the mix. All the 'hard' work has been done before sowing or planting and from then on the bacteria and myco will handle the work.

Hey Friends

Wanting to keep a close eye to the aphid situation in the greenhouse I went to have a look if the treatment had worked or not. I found that all the plants that got treated were aphid free, but of course...how could it be otherwise...The AK47 x Karel's Haze cross got the aphids now...

I plucked away all the crunchy and bad looking leaves, as well as the infected one's with aphids on them and this is what I was left with...

Still nice buds on her and only two small popcorn buds that got thrown away because of infection...

And let's not forget our other SSSC cross, Afghan x Northern Lights... An absolute beauty if I may say so. And such a large plant for an Indica...
Them yellow leaves will be trimmed away shortly, but first I want to be sure that I got rid of them pesky aphids.

Ok, so after rereading my previous post I decided to give the Afghan x NL cross a dose of Silicium Flash since she still has a month to go! In the manual they advise you to give this to the plants when any deficiency occurs. So that's what I did
Tonight I'll check the AK47 x Karel's Haze cross' trichomes and base my decision on that if I should cut her down or not...Have the feeling I shouldn't be keeping her out there, but don't want to end up with to trippy weed either...

Rock hard buds, to be honest. But that's fresh and with a Sativa the buds end up rather softer which is just fine.
