Hello everyone I hope your day is going the way you want it.
I am Retired from the US Army 22yrs. Sgt Maj. I served with the 101st airborne in vietnam 1972 - 1974. on my return I spent 8 yrs with the 101st. I served with the 82nd airborne for 10yrs and was was on many missions with the 82nd, and back to the 101st for 4 more yrs. I am also a 100% disabled Veteran. Started smoking weed 3 years ago, and now I am off all pain, PTSD , antidepressants. The expenses is getting out of hand 1/4 goes for 125 to 150 here. Just getting my stuff together. making me a grow room and I will need all the help I can get. This is my plan so far:
I have a grow room that I share with computer and stuff.
I will be trying grow Seedsman White Widow Fem Autos.I will be doing a
perpetual grows. Here what I have
1 - 5x8x8 grow space
1 - 2x4x5 grow tent
1- 2x4x6 closet
1- 4x4x7 grow tent
5- 300w galaxy hydro led s
2- 315w CMH 3100k bulbs
1- 630w CMH duel 315w 3100k.
10- 5gal bubble buckets w/net pots and flat 4" air stones and 1/4 in air hose.
1 - 32w ecogrow 700 air pump for air stones. all kinds of connectors, valves and stuff.
1 - 1gal each GH flora trio.
1- gal each calmagic and Biogrard
1- 1gal each ph up and down
2- PH testers
1- ppm meter
1 - digital light meter
1- 6" carbon filter and 572 cfm fan
2- 4" carbon filters and 2 332 cfm fan all ducting.
5- clip on small fans
wow . I should have the grow room done this week. I will post pictures.
I do have a question on how should I make a recirculating reservoir. I guess that is a premature question until I get the bubble buckets in place. I plan on veg in the grow tents and finish in the big grow space.
Any help or advice would be great. Thanks in advance

hi and welcome :pass:thats quite a list you have.just a simple plant replaces all them nasty meds.we have a great meds section to.
start up a journal in new growers section,im sure you will have lots of visitors.
pop into live stoners if you at a loose end,or just for a cuppa sometime.
best of luck.
:pighug:

Welcome to AFN, @PoppyLon56 , and thank you for your service! :toke:
Like archie said, be sure to check out the med section and start a journal (see the links in my signature). You sound like you've grown before, but if this is your first shot with autos I'd start in the new growers section just until you get used to the differences between autos and photos.
I work locally with a few vets and others for pain management and overall wellbeing, and the folks in the medical section are fantastic.
Feel free to tag me in ( @Renaissance Redneck ) when you start your journal. I'm not a hydro guy, but would like to follow along:thumbsup:
Speaking of, here's the link to our hydro section, a great place to ask and answer questions. I'm a sod buster, so won't be much help.

Karma for your crop, and a :slap: (that's a good thing) for finding better medicine than the poison docs love to throw at us.

Wow....we have a Screaming Eagle on board!! Very good to meet you my friend!! Thanks for joining and good luck on all of your grows!

Hopefully you like this...my friends and I play a table top miniature game, and i built a few 3d bunkers...in addition to painting axis force miniature flags, I also painted a few to pay homage to several of the US forces, and what is the odds of this??

Hey and warmly welcomed PoppyLon.
I know you can be a proud man with your merit-list. I'm not from the states, but you have got my respect.
Your inventory-list for your growing adventure doesn't let you down either, wow man. You are going all in!

I want to wish you a happy time here and a good time growing.
:welcome: :vibes: :karmacloud: :slap:

You have picked an excellent strain. I'm growing a Seedsman WW right now, and it's one of the best looking plants I've had. Hope its effects are half as good.
You sure have a lot of tents and lights, and just the LEDs and 4x4x7 tent would suffice.
Effectively, harvesting a single tent every 3 months amounts to a perpetual grow.

Multiple buckets are a big hassle, unless they are all connected to the same reservoir. Otherwise you must measure and deal with several individual buckets.
I've been growing 4 autos in a 3 x 3 x 8 tent using a GH Ecogrower, which is a top feed DWC system that holds 12 gal of usable fluid.
I strongly suspect that's not enough fluid volume, because I've had some nute burn and/or lockout problems that shouldn't have happened.
So I decided to buy an expensive Current Culture brand 4 site, 35 gal reservoir deep water culture setup to replace the top feed ecogrower.
That's a lot of water to change, so I'l be experimenting with tap water, which is probably fine.
As my name implies I greatly prefer KISS growing, and believe that top feed does little except splash and burn my seedlings, and that recirculation does little that DWC can't do except add needless complexity.

Check out the Vapor Pressure Deficit chart, and consider buying a humidifier to increase plant size and yield.
Assuming 1.5 ft tall buckets, lights hanging 1 ft from ceiling, light-to-plant distance 1.5 ft minimum, that leaves you 3 feet for vertical growth.
Right now, following the VPD chart, the WW auto has reached the maximum 4 ft height that Seedsman claimed.
A mephisto sour bubbly is now over 5 ft tall.

Careful with the nutes. Most people use 1/4 to 1/2 strength, and if I go over 400 ppm, nute burn happens.

Above all, be skeptical about what you read.
I skip pruning, training, flushing, scrogging, and just let the plants grow as they want, which has resulted in a completely full canopy.
That might not get those award winning baseball bat size colas, but the yield is excellent.

Whats up man and welcome to AFN, also welcome to growing! Feel free to tag me I. Your grow as I love watching this beautiful plant grow! Keep it simple man and do only what you feel comfortable doing. Canna is a resilient plant so you have to really fuck it up to fuck it up. Good luck to you bro see you around the boards

Welcome my friend. I wish you all the best success in your grows and hope to see you posting on the forums...................eP.
