Grow Mediums 7 Think Different in a 4 x 7ft scrog!!!!!

Hi again to my family at AFN. How a couple of weeks can seem like forever. I am finally back after my xmas vacation!! So here it is...


1200 watts, currently I am running metal halide for the veg period and then I will will switch to HPS. I also have a fan and filter ran with 6 inch flex ducting connected to both lights. Temps are right at 80 degrees and lights are running 24/7.




We have 7 TD's in a recirculating drip system with a 50 gallon res. The scrog is exactly 12 inches above the top of the buckets. The seeds were placed in the rock wool cubes last night on the 27th. We want to stay under the 90 day mark, so wish us luck. AFN has been more than supportive, so thank you. Happy growing to all, and I will be back tomorrow with pics of our whole line up of nutes...currently I am running ph'd water (5.8) until start of week 2. I love you all and stay tuned....

Thanks Prez! I was going to do, and still might, a thread on the construction page here at AFN. Seen as how I have signed up for this, and there are currently no posts to speak of in the construction section, I think I am going to post there too. A lot of time and effort went into building this setup by hand. Blood, sweat, and unfortunately tears (for anyone who has hit there finger with a hammer will know) went into this build. So far I have been blessed with greatness when it comes to indoor hydro grows (I use to be a worm), i.e. no nutrient lock out or deficiencies of any kind. I can't wait myself, the whole setup (minus lights and ballasts) was done for under $100!!!!! Plus, after the last grow that was done for AFN to see, I am in love with the drip system and the amount of O2 that is supplied to the roots. I'm also sure there are a lot of people out there that would like to run a drip, dwc, or some other form of hydro system without spending the 1000 or so dollars that they want in the magazines and catologues for the pre-fab setups.

Under $100!!?? Thats awesome! Thought I did well setting up my first metal grow cabinet for that cost but that was only 18" x 3 ft and 6ft tall. Ive yet to try hydro so please do share so a fella do it yourselfer like me can get my feet wet, pardon the pun much respect for the skills

Sorry to hijack, but are there that may varied TD phenos? I was going to run a pack and breed the two best in DWC, but if it is that unstable in going to just play with the F2s of a cross I made in coco.

On topic, do you forsee many issues maintaining your buckets under the screen? How often do you sterilize your buckets? I'm in the process of devising a clever way to run a DWC scrog myself.

Roark you were my first friend here at AFN, now what would this life be like without a little friendly rivalry!!!! Dude I'm just hoping to do as well as you did, 6.5 dry oz per plant was fucking amazing...Even tho I will say that in my mind, and I haven't told anybody this yet, but I'm shooting for a half pound per plant dry this go. My last plant on my last thread came in at just under a half pound dry! Luv ya roark.

As often as I plan on feeding them, 15 minute intervals 3-5 times a day, there will be a constant supply of fresh water in the buckets. And just like last time, I hit them with H2O2 every so often and never changed buckets once during the whole grow. We'll see, at least this is my plan...going with what I know works. Ya know that's all we can do as growers, after some time of trial and error and a few notches on the belt my saying is this, "If it ain't broke don't fix it"
