New Grower 2budz “In over my head” grow

Alright, so here's the scoop with this round. I had been putting off starting anything in this tent for a few reasons.

1) It's HOT. Didn't really want to make my AC struggle more than it already has.
and
2) I was waiting for some beans from a friend that were delayed.
and
3) When those beans were delayed I was going to do a G&S which hasn't panned out as of yet.

My stash is getting low so I had to pull the trigger.

As I said in a previous post, I'm growing out some beans I got from a buddy. I trust him, so I trust these beans to be what he says they are. Could be amazing, or disappointing. Only time will tell.

5 gallon bags are new to me. I have only grown in 1 gallon or smaller bags/pots. I did grow a Dark Devil in a 2 gallon Rain Science bag but it wasn't great. Happy Frog with 20% #3 perlite added, 1/4 cup Dynomyco per bag. 1/2 cup Mosquito Bits per bag. All mixed throughout the soil.
Each bag was soaked with 1 gallon water w/ ph @ 6.5, 6ml Fish Sh!t per gallon. 1 gallon didn't cause runoff which sucks because I can't keep a ton of water on hand and this may be an issue once they start flowering. I will only be spraying the top with a spray bottle to keep the topsoil damp the next few weeks.

Something else I'm doing I haven't done before is use Yucca powder. @Kyote has told me multiple times it's good stuff so I bought some and plan to use it moving forward.

I will start posting pics if/when I get sprouts.

I feel pretty good about my cleaning job after my root aphid issue. Got some nematodes and a few other things to help keep bugs in check moving forward. I know bugs are part of the process, wasn’t prepared for the level of aphid infestation I had.

I finally got my hands on some of @Sawney_bean seeds so decided to give his Nugz a run. This round I will be using Coco Loco, a first for me. Not really sure if I should treat it as soil or Coco, any input is welcome. I’m just gonna kind of wing it lol. Beans were dropped this morning so gonna be a week or so til I have sprouts

Little update on the 5 gallon bags in the 32x32. The 3 older plants are starting there 4th set of leaves and really taking off. Haven’t fed them yet and have only watered around the outside of the bags. The SRC III is still a baby but she looks good. Still debating on whether to continue using the DTE 484, or go back to liquid nutes. I felt like the DTE kept the plants healthier overall and was a lot easier to use, but liquid nutes seemed to make the plants grow bigger, and buds were more dense. Which could have just been the strains but who knows.

I’m proud of myself right now. I dropped 4 new beans AND remember what is what
In my newly acquired grow space I went with 3 gallon plastic pots. The 2 on the left are HF. The 2 on the right are Coco Loco. The back 2 are Hellraisers. Front 2 are Lecters. Wonderful genetics from @Sawney_bean
There is 1/2 a cup of dynomyco split between the 4 pots. Watered excessively with ph water and fish shit. Added maybe 10% #3 perlite to all. Will be grown under a 2022 model TS1000.

It was time for defol # 2. I got through one and it was extremely sticky and stinky, I had to clean my trimmers 3 times in a little over an hour just removing leaves. Very sticky. After I finished the first plant I decided, with a little help from a friend, not to do the other and just see what happens without the major defol.
It was feeding night as well, I have only been feeding them AN PH Perfect Trio up to this point but tonight went with a half dose of Open Sesame (3g/gal), Recharge (2.5g/gal) and Kelp Me (10ml/gal). Figured it was time to start PK boosters and watch the budz grow :smoking:

I was a little concerned about the Hellraisers but they’re doing just fine. The deformed one grew 2 leaves for its second set and they’re cruising.

She seems a little behind because I may have under watered her, and she’s tiger striped and I’m unsure what’s causing it. But she’s taking off now. She pretty much doubled in size in 2 days after her first full watering.

These ladies are doing well, have been from the start. Today is day 59 I believe. Buds have been purple now stalks are starting to turn. Been watering them .75 gallon each every 48 hours. Switched to FF open sesame at a half dose 3 feedings ago, fed that twice then went to beastie bloomz last feeding also at a half dose. Still giving a form of kelp every watering as well as microbes. Just waiting for them to start putting on weight.
