Day 42 (Week 6) from sprout
Roughly ended second week of flower, and should be right about halfway to the finish

Today we’re finally switched from veg to bloom nutes, also added in AN Big Bud a few days ago and AN Nirvana today. Realized I was underfeeding (wasn’t accounting for volume of feed batches I was mixing), apparent as CalMag deficiency (I think) in both with a slight N def in Triks. Gave a high EC (1,130 ppm, pH 6.0) feed of Silica Boost, CALiMAGic, MaxiBloom, and Bud Candy so fingers crossed they start looking healthier overall. Did some minimal pruning on both to clean them up, mostly lower interior branches blocked by the canopy or underperforming branches or bud sites. Left some lower fan leaves and will trim them as they look even fuglier in the coming weeks. Other than that letting them go!

Day 49 (end week 7)
Should be about end of week 3 flower for Triks, Sky Crème a couple days behind. I think we’re back on track with the feeds. The fan leaves on Sky Crème (in front) press against the tent wall and look fugly as hell but oh well, this is what an amateur small tent grow looks like LOL! Only removing fans as needed, other than that leaving them alone now until a clean up near harvest time. Ladies are about 24” from top of soil to the tip of their tallest cola.

And Mephisto’s Skywalker x CDLC, I just can’t capture her well but she’s purty. I’ve had trouble dialing her in but she’s chugging right along. I think she’d prefer the light a little further away, and some cooler temps LOL!

Day 56 (end week 8 overall, week 4 flower)
Ran out of Advanced Nutrients (AN) Big Bud early, and started AN Overdrive to keep a PK boost in-between Gen Hydro MaxiBloom feeds. Added in AN Nirvana to the feed regimen. Filled in this tiny tent and got about 4 weeks to harvest

At “sunrise and sunset” for 1-2 hrs i’ve been swapping an Agromax 3,500K Bloom T5HO for a 10,000K Finsiher bulb. As we get closer to finish the bulb stays in longer Also have a day of heavy winds (crank the fans up) in the forecast, let’s see how these girls handle it!

The Triks are long spears, hoping they pack a ton of weight this month

Still can’t capture this one well, she is putting out some nice looking dense nuggets and is a looker IRL though

Haven’t been able to run my Meph gear without issue. I’m thinking CalMag def (but I feed CalMag every time) or maybe I have a root issue (not enough space even with fabric pots “air pruning”)…pH has been 5.8-6.2 input throughout the grow.

Day 70 overall (Day 42 flower)
Missed day 63 update for a much welcomed four day getaway, did those D62 pics during lights out before I left. Set up an automated feeder to keep them alive, feeding a mix of Silica Boost, CALiMAGic, and Overdrive. The tent reeks, carbon filter from mid flower onward and she smells dank when I open.

Triks (aka Ms Noodles) is deceptively heavy…she has some spaghetti arms that are completely fallen over due to bud weight. I remember reading this as a trait of SFV OG so I assume noodley/spaghetti arms is a kush trait? The main cola is falling over and tipping the entire plant so I had to tie her down. Her other main branches are holding up great tho!

And Skywalker x CDLC, dare I say she’s quickly becoming the star of the show. A little finicky with feeds and Triks will likely best her in the yield department, but her structure and resin production is ridonk like Gronk

We’re almost to the finish line, going to be running CALiMAGic and Overdrive only this week, then water and a surface coating of dolomite lime for what should be the final week

Day 77
Getting close for both these girls, some amber forming on the Triks uppers while Sky Crème is mostly cloudly with some clear heads. I might have to take the tops off Triks and give the lowers another week. Been only chilled spring water a few days now.

Let’s put a bow on this one, good amount of amber and she’s just busting out…one of their original offerings that has been selected (this came from the F6 gen) and bred to the highest level of magic by Twenty20 Mendocino (@Twenty20 Adam & team) - Triks F6 autoflower

She stacks pretty consistent…2 L bottle and 13” pot riser for height reference. An experienced grower with the right setup could get at least 6-8 of these colas per plant.

All the lowers that didn’t make the cut, gave a rough trim of all non-triched out leaf matter, and into Grove bags in the freezer overnight. Going to try my first attempt at fresh frozen like @WildBill suggested

While trimming I got a instant aroma of old school handball from elementary school and orange grove, took me back for minute

When I run her again she’ll get the space she needs to branch out, likely some trellising to support the weight through flower. Also trimming up the first 4-5 nodes on each branch to focus the energy into those beautiful tops.

Day 84
Finally getting a touch of amber, which ironically is the color of her energy (big ups if you get that ). Giving a few more days, then chippity chop to clear and clean the tent ️

We’re almost at the end of this Breeder Growdown. I stopped keeping score as both girls showed out in their own ways, only way to know the real winner will be smoke tests with fam but that’s months away

Day 87 and we’ve reached the finish of this grow cycle. This one is reeking, stunk up the room when I took her out the tent. Guess my tent’s carbon filter is working at least LOL!

Final weigh-in update for @Twenty20 Adam’s choice Triks F6 autoflower.

Yield dry: 57.62 grams (2.03 oz)
Dry sift from Trim Bin: 0.52 grams
Yield trim: ~1/2 oz

I also processed some lowers frozen overnight that gave (on previous page):
0.27 grams 73-119 um hash
~0.25 grams 25-72 um hash that I messed with and pressed with a hair straightener.

Out of the 57 grams total yield I bagged 17 grams as “premiums”. These were mostly the tops…some had nice red-orange tones with some speckles of purple, having dense medium-sized buds.

And the remaining 40 grams of smaller to mid-sized buds with mostly green coloration. Structure was a little less dense than the premiums, but nothing airy or loose in the structure.

I had trimmed up some lower stuffs and jarred it to test, burping the last week and sampled some yesterday. Not sure if it is from letting her amber up a bit, but the high lifted me up for about 5 minutes and then felt like I had two hands putting pressure on my brain locking me in my seat No aroma or flavor yet, tester so far is too immature but if Trizzlers was any indicator then I’m anxiously waiting for this batch of Triks to cure

Going to combine the trim from Triks and Sky Crème, cure two months, and combine those with some Romulan x Gluey trim from my Brothers Grimm run that will be 6 months cured at that point. That will be my first mixed-strain wash and hoping for enough quality hash for a Temple ball pressing

Yield dry: 65.40 grams (2.31 oz)
Dry sift from Trim Bin: 0.62 grams
Yield trim: ~1/2 oz

Got a little over an ounce of premium tops bagged separately, each nug except the small top left-middle is an 1/8 or more Once Meph releases a coffee mug it’ll be harvest mug shots abound!

Still need time for the aromas and flavors to develop, she’ll get at least 3 months before opening the first bag. The high from the tester has been amazing though for being immature, complete body and mind relaxation.

I’m really high on this one (full pun intended LOL) great plant structure (limbs strong as bull) bud size and density on point beginner friendly (albeit Triks was a little more easy going) awesome colors without being able to drop temps (Triks was a looker too to be fair in the same conditions)

I’ve got 6 more of these gems and am going to grab a pack of CDLC too. I’m itching to try my first breeding project so I’m thinking later this year i’ll start a long journey of finding a mate for a photo-to-auto conversion. It’ll take at least a decade of fun to get near completion with my limited space - and even when I get to run my legal limit. I’ve got some Devil’s Pie fem seeds (Georgia Pie x Devil Driver) from a Tiki Madman/Raw collab that i’ll start with maybe the canna gods will smile upon me and I get a to play with Skywalker x CDLC (and/or CDLC)
