Hello people so this will be my 3rd run, and my second autoflower run, just so you know I previously fimmed my autoflowers and lst them with good results, I managed to get a scrog style canopy of littler sized colas, after reading lots of opinions here and there I have decided to do a side by side comparison grow journel. I have 18plants in a 1.2m x 2.4m tent and a 1200w light supply. I will carry this experiment out on 1. Colorado cookies 2. Girl Scout cookies 3. Blue dream 4. Alien vs triangle, and possibly a sodk, if you would be interested in following the journel or seeing the results make sure to follow. I have 10 girls coming up to week two and 8 girls coming up to week one (germination is a bitch sometimes lol) I will post photos on Saturday which will be the two week mark for the first girls, we have all seen topped autos and we have all seen natural autos, but this way we should have a direct comparison that maybe new growers can refer too when deciding if the want to fim there plants.

P.S all plants will have some form of LST my main objective is to document the results of Fimming in comparison to not doing so

I’ve done many comparison grows topping versus fimming versus untouched......fimming for the win

UPDATE: day 14 for the first girls so I topped a Colorado cookies (cc1) a Girl Scout cookies (gsk2) Alien vs triangle (avt1) and a blue dream (bd1) all of these have got sisters who I havnt topped (2) I didn’t photo blue dream 2 because she is only a week old I also tried topping my cookie dough (cd) but I also removed the fan leaves blocking the nodes to see if we would get any different growth. Signs of a little heat stress but not much I can do about it, really looking to buy some leds next run,

Ngl tangerine dream is one of those legendary strains for me, I went amesterdam when I was a teen and it’s was my favourite purchase out there the terp profile was just crazy tasty, ever since then it’s held mythic status I looked into growing the photo version but flowering time was just too long, true saliva.

They smell fantastic already with the sweetness of the oils when bending & training... really looking forward to this one :)

Ok so time for the weekly update I was half way through LST when I remembered I was meant to take photos, oh well lazy post this week. Girls are going into the third and second weeks, 1st batch receiving LST 2nd batch just been topped. Noticble points topping the Colorado cookies promotes good growth in comparison to its counter part which is still very short thick and bushy, so far so that I couldn’t even do much LST with her, on the other hand the alien vs triangle seems to be fairing just as good if not stronger without being topped in comparison to her sister, girls scout also benefiting from the topping. FYI broke a side branch on my blue dream and my cookie dough, blue dream is amazing plant in veg a lot of vigorous growth the broken branch hasn’t even seemed to slow her down.

As a side not I refer to fimming as topping I probably have the terms mixed but, when I top it is as the node is breaking out so I don’t remove any branch as it were,

LST WOES :(
So looks like the comparison isn’t going to go to well just snapped the most developed side branch on my Colorado cookies clean off lost maybe 1:4 of the plant plus potentially stunting her mehh, it happens
