Outdoor Bob takes Barneys Farm on a BioTabs tour inside the Greenhouse - Growing Strawberry Cheesecake Auto, Moby Dick Auto & Watermelon Zkittlez Auto

Mid Flower
Ahhh...Lovely day today. Enjoyed my stay inside the greenhouse this morning. Temperatures where bearable because of a cloudy sky.
While sitting there and enjoying my coffee with a nice fatty for breakfast I watered the plants and took some pictures...

Have a look at the above soil. So healthy and all I have to do is keep it wet. Not soaking wet, but just wet throughout. As the plants grow and colonize the soil with their roots they use up more and more water. This SCc is drinking her pot dry in about 36 hours...

...But then she is full on in flower throwing pistil after pistil and starting to bulk up because of that. The real fattening up will come as each calyx will swell up awaiting pollination which will never happen :muahaha:

Moby Dick was the slowest in veg, but has gained speed during flower. She has even surpassed SCc in expansion...

She is frosty as fuck and I'll probably get loads of trim from her as her leaves are littered with sticky oily trichomes :coffee:

Trimming this will probably take quite a while, so I'll be testing her during drying a couple of times to see if I like her well enough to put my hands through that ordeal or if I'll be putting it in bags for processing at a later date.

This WmZ is an absolute beast! The largest and furthest in the greenhouse. She is unbelievably sticky as I brushed against her with my arm and the hairs stuck together :clapper:
Watermelon Zkittlez Auto - day 61

Although also very leafy the ratio goes more to the bud side then the leaf side. And as both leaves and buds are covered with trichomes I will not be the one to complain about a couple of leaves  Worst case scenario is that after drying I'll process it into hash or rosin. I think she'll be a great rosin producer, just like the MD above...

Still, look at those main bud sites...Littered with flowers which all have to expand fully...

Nice watermelon zkittles, and the other ones too. I can't wait to pop my zkittles and hope they do as well as yours.
Thanks, she's almost done. According to the data on Barney's Farm's website she should be done in 70 days, but look at her. She still has some fattening up to do...I moved the Barney's Farm ladies to another spot today and had to tie a rope around the main stem to keep her upright. She must have been supported somewhere on the other spot. She is top heavy :haha:

Next up is my Strawberry Cheesecake...According to the spec sheet she's a 75-80 day cultivar, but she's full on in fall modus...In one day she sacrificed about half of her fan leaves.

You can see the spots on some of the leaves. This was way worse on those leaves and they hung shriveled on the plant. It seems she doesn't like that much PK in her diet. Her sisters on the other hand do, so they will get a fresh dose tomorrow morning as I'm currently brewing a new batch of PK Booster Compost Tee.

As you can see, loads of trichomes which need to mature still...Not even going to take out my usb microscope as she still has a way to go.

1657310869447_small.jpg

And last but not least...Moby Dick. Looking very lush and almost ready according to the spec sheet.

But I think I'll leave her at least one more week...I'll check her tomorrow with the scope...

She is very leafy indeed...But as long as those leaves are covered with trichomes I'm not going to complain.

Hey AFN Fam :bighug:

These plants are stacking up them buds. For now this Strawberry Cheesecake can stand on her own, but I'm afraid I'm gonna have to hang some support lines from above to keep her that way as you'll see in a moment...:hump:

Ah...Moby Dick, can't wait to have a taste of this White Widow x Haze cross. She is piling on the trichomes and getting slicker and slicker :baby:
According to the spec sheet she's about to finish... But as you can see she can benefit from a (couple of) week(s) extra. What do you guys/gals think? Please don't be coy :thanks:

This last lady is the furthest of all in the greenhouse and one I'll be tasting very soon. Brushed my arm against her and the hairs stuck together...Couldn't find my usb scope today, have to look further or I won't be able to show off them tasty cannabinoid filled bubbles :crying:
I did have to support her with several wires hung from above as the branches aren't able to support the plant anymore. What can I say...I'm having a ball with the whole BioTabs nutrient line :shooty:

All your plants are looking great
I have yet to do an outdoor/greenhouse grow....but, based on Moby Dick just starting to get her fade on, I'd say at least a more couple weeks.
Job well done sir...or almost done

I am loving the zkittles, cannot wait to pop a bean or two!
Thanks for the kind words guys :bighug:But I can't take all the credit
Without Barney's Farm supplying the wonderful genetics and BioTabs providing a nutrient line which made me throw away my pH meter I most probably wouldn't be getting these results. So I gladly share the Kudoz
And this, I discovered when visiting the greenhouse this afternoon..The branch got so heavy the node gave way... I'm not gonna bother trying to tape the branch onto the rest of the plant as she is so far already. I clipped the fan leaves of of that branch and hung it up to dry in the shed...

Connected a couple of more overhead lines to the branches to prevent this from happening again...

@Redeye Master, thanks for the rep brother!!
So my Watermelon Zkittlez collapsed onto herself...But she's still drinking.
I'm not touching her as she's now supported by some piping that runs through the greenhouse and don't want to damage the plant more then it is now.

Hi Bob, plants are looking fine man, shame about the branches that snapped!
Always good to give them some additional support, especially if the structure is a little more stretchy or the buds have become quite heavy.

Beside some rope or a net, poles (bamboo or plastic) and some tie-rips can do the trick as well.

Looking at the buds I think they definitely need a few more weeks.. this often happens when genetics are grown outdoors or in a greenhouse.
Flowering time can be delayed with a week or two, cheers mate :d5:
