I seen some in a rubble pile down the road and said this is what I need.. and sure enough this is exactly what I envisioned.I get the high wind plant protection problem. The bucket is cracked from winds while anchored by blocks. She is smelling Mighty Fine. She has fell over a lot when not using blocks. Happy Farming![]()

I’m going to ask if I can snag em lol
Beautiful plant btw

I have my cage anchored by some simple rebar bent up if ya need some more.I get the high wind plant protection problem. The bucket is cracked from winds while anchored by blocks. She is smelling Mighty Fine. She has fell over a lot when not using blocks. Happy Farming![]()
The gals do have a beautiful view, but with it comes lots and lots of wind. We have been through some rough patches: hurricanes Elsa (July), Fred (August), Henri (August) and Ida (September). I carry the pots inside for each of these, but I can't predict the frequent gusts. If I let the pots dry even just a little, then all it takes is a 20-25 MPH gust to send them over. Once, I had them up on the stone wall, and wouldn't you know, winds from FRED hit me from behind and sent the plants over the wall and down 6 feet to the level below. I amazed at how well they've handled it. But next year I'm going to need lots more duct tape. Here's a peak at what I saw when I looked out my window yesterday:
holy crap the Easter basket! You better get life insurance for those stunt plants Sky
.. they apparently know how to fall and land JuJitsu-style since they aren't a bundle of broken sticks!
...I'm super happy your grow wasn't ruined my man-
update for OD girls. Pics are from a few days ago n I just had another bad storm last night the girls looked ok this morning before work but it was dark n I didn't have time to get in the grow. They are beat up for sure. I need a few more weeks for the ethos girls to finish up but weather is turning nasty on me. Fingers crossed I can get them to the End End!
shit, more nasty weather troubles! At least you have them caged and trellised Jean, or they may be just a wadded pile of busted branches and battered bud! Hopefully the damage is mostly cosmetic, maybe some chewed up places along where the trellis lines were chafing...
Frizzy is DENSE
... some tasty bits peekin' over the fence there! Are you friendly with them? Find out what cross she is, that's good info to know for your conditions, pending her not rotting out late in the game....Damn POS armadillo got into my Asaian Haze EarthBox last night!
I don't think it did much damage to the root system, though.
Times are changing!
Saw and heard a flock of migrating geese coming down before the cold front.
Next Tuesday and Wednesday are the next two days with chances of rain
and no more 90*F+ temps after Tuesday is seen in the forecast.
Buds are sure filling in, frosting up, getting super sticky and really starting to STINK.
Smell is a sweet citrus/grape with some other underlying funk that I can't pick out.
It's a very nice and pleasant smell.
mugger fekkin' varmint! ...after worms I figure... Sooo glad the girl isn't FUBAR my friend, I'da died right next to you!

Plus something is not all happy in her pot-world I'm thinking,... She should be done by now, or within a week, but her looks tell me another story....
