Indoor JaxsoNL5’s UBG - Mephisto vs Twenty20 Mendocino

Rapid Rooter
To say neck and neck is an understatement. Both beans were placed in Rapid Rooter cubes and in the dark overnight.

During their first light cycle (18/6) under a 5000K “daylight” household bulb in a clamp lamp they started peeking out.

They came out fully overnight so not sure which really came up first, so point to each. Also neither had their helmets so +1 bonus point each for not requiring surgery out the gate!

Mephisto - 3

Transplant
About 3 days in the Rooter cube total, just shy of 2 days old from sprouting (popping it’s cotyl’s out the cube hole). It’s time to go into their final homes (1 gal fabric pots)!

Medium is Fox Farms Cultivation Nation. Mixed 1 tsp of Dynomyco and prepped the medium with a mix of Bloom City Silica Boost and Humic Acid, Gen Hydro BioRoot and CALiMAGic, and AN Bud Candy for the microbes.

At transplant I used about 1/2 tsp Dynomyco into the planting hole. Up first was Twenty20’s Triks

Cleaning my humidifier so they’re staying domed for now

+1 to Meph’s Sky Crème for the root structure in the cube, taproot straight out the bottom with good little side roots.

Should have asked this already… @stan_mephisto and @Twenty20 Adam …what light cycle (e.g. 18/6, 20/4, etc) would you use? Currently on 18/6 and adjusting to the LED so perfect time to adjust

If you choose different schedules I do a coin flip…Meph heads (because they own the URL) and Twenty20 tails.

Well it is still winter in our grow rooms, so things are 24/0 to help maintain environment. Unsure if you are in the same boat.

Our SoCal “winter” lasts all of two weeks and is gone now LOL! With it being a small tent inside my spare closet it stays 78-82 F during lights on, low 70s when off.

I would just stick to 18/6 if that is what you are used too. Reduce the amount of change variables.

I’m not used to anything :haha::rofl::crying:
Last year being new I tried 18/6 at start ramped to 21/4 by late veg, then ramp down to 18/6 in flower (but higher intensity and light closer to canopy). Too much work adjusting timers (I have three separate for main lights, fans, and supplemental lighting + booster fan) for what I gather is not any gain in quality or yield. Did the next two runs at 18/6 just to avoid the hassle.

KISS is good to me  I’m game for anything you two recommend though…if you want to have fun and see how y’alls genetics do under gas lantern or 22/2 for shits n’ giggles let’s git it…that’s what this thread is for!
:crying:  :toke:

Day 7 - Triks vs Skywalker x CDLC
Day 7 from sprout, late update.

Gave them their first Bud Buster Pro foliar spray at lights out, first feeding of MaxiGro using less than Gen Hydro’s light feeding dose…also had full dose of CALiMAGic and BioRoot in distilled water (pH 5.8-6.0).

Removed the domes around day three and have been gradually increasing the Bloomspect SL600 to 100% (20” above). I started short periods (1-2 min per 18/6 cycle) of UV-A/B exposure with the AgroMax PureUV T5H0.

Day 14 - Triks vs Skywalker x CDLC
Day 14
Easy going, just fed a mix of BloomCity Silica Boost, Gen Hydro CALiMAGic and BioRoot (pH 5.8) this week. After the 1 liter MaxiGro (0.5 grams/Liter) feed on Day 7 they only needed a liter of the mix between them to keep the soil moist until today.

Pics were before lights out and they got another application of BudBusterPro foliar spray at lights out. At the next lights on I have a mixture of BloomCity Silica Boost and Humic Acid, CALiMAGic, BioRoot, and some AN BudCandy waiting
